A regular cleaning focuses on maintaining the overall freshness of the home. It includes disinfecting and wiping commonly used surfaces, cleaning floors, and leaving spaces looking tidy and refreshed.

A deep clean goes much further. Every surface, fixture, and corner must be addressed so there is absolutely no dust, residue, or buildup left behind anywhere in the home.

Bathrooms

During a regular bathroom cleaning, the focus is on disinfecting and wiping down the toilet, sink and counters, shower or tub, mirrors, and floors. These areas are maintained to keep them fresh and sanitary.

A deep bathroom cleaning includes all of the regular tasks, plus cleaning cabinet faces, baseboards, vents, doors, door frames, light fixtures, and switches. Grout lines should be scrubbed thoroughly until bright and free of buildup. Use your smaller brush tool to get into tight areas around faucets, handles, grout lines, and the edges of the tub or shower. There should never be residue, hair, or dust left behind anywhere.

Inside cabinet cleaning is only included with move in or move out packages. For those, both the inside and outside of cabinets are completely wiped and disinfected.

Kitchens

A regular kitchen cleaning includes wiping counters, cleaning the sink, exterior of appliances, stovetop, and floors. It’s meant to maintain cleanliness and keep surfaces fresh between deep cleans.

A deep kitchen cleaning includes everything from a regular cleaning plus all cabinet faces, backsplash, baseboards, doors, door frames, vents, light fixtures, and switches. The inside of the microwave must be cleaned, along with the top and sides of all appliances. Oven exteriors, cabinet handles, and backsplash areas should be scrubbed thoroughly to remove grease and fingerprints. Use your smaller brush tool to reach crevices such as trim edges, grout lines, appliance edges, and faucet bases. Floors and edges along the baseboards should be fully cleaned and free of dust, crumbs, and buildup.

Inside cabinet cleaning is also part of move in or move out packages only.

The Rest of the Home

A regular clean in the rest of the home focuses on dusting and wiping common surfaces, cleaning floors, and maintaining a tidy appearance.

A deep clean covers every detail. This includes cabinet faces, baseboards, doors, door frames, light fixtures, switches, vents, and window ledges throughout the home. Window ledges must be wiped and dried, and blinds should be dusted completely. Use your smaller brush tool in corners, along trim, and in hard-to-reach areas to remove all buildup.

Furniture is also an important part of a deep cleaning. Couches should be vacuumed or wiped, with pillows fluffed and blankets neatly folded. Dining chairs should be wiped of crumbs and sanitized, as well as polished with Pledge if they are wooden. Beds should be neatly made

Remember

Cabinet faces, baseboards, doors, door frames, vents, light fixtures, light switches, window ledges, furniture, and blinds are all part of a deep clean and must be wiped, dusted, and dried completely.

In bathrooms and kitchens, grout, backsplash, faucets, and fixtures must be scrubbed thoroughly with the smaller brush tool to remove buildup and dirt from crevices.

Inside cabinet cleaning is only included in move in or move out packages and must be wiped inside and out when done.

Use new rags frequently throughout the clean so surfaces are actually being cleaned, not spread with dirty cloths.

Always double-check every area before leaving. There should never be any dust, dirt, or grime left behind anywhere in the home. Every surface should look spotless, smell fresh, and feel clean to the touch.
