1. Set Up Your Mop and Bucket
Fill the wash side of the bucket with warm water and a small cap of Pine Sol.
Do not overfill; stop before the water reaches the spin basket.
Attach the mop head securely to the handle by pressing it into place until you hear a click.
2. Soak and Spin
Dip the mop head into the wash side of the bucket to soak it.
Place it in the spin basket, then press the pedal several times to spin out excess water.
For hardwood, laminate, or other sensitive flooring, ensure the mop is only damp, not dripping.
3. Mop in Sections
Start from the farthest corner of the room and work your way out.
Use a figure-eight or “S” motion to cover more surface area and reduce streaks.
Rinse and spin the mop head every few minutes, especially if the water starts to look dirty.
4. Changing Water
If cleaning multiple rooms or heavily soiled areas, dump and refill your water halfway through. Dirty water spreads germs and leaves dull residue.
5. Cleaning and Storage
After finishing:
Rinse the mop head thoroughly with clean water.
Spin it dry in the basket.
Hang or stand the mop to air-dry.
Empty and rinse the bucket; never leave water sitting in it.
6. Pro Tip
For sticky spots or kitchen grease, pre-spray the area with your all-purpose cleaner, let it sit for 30 seconds, then mop it up.
Keeping your mop clean and maintained ensures faster, easier floor cleaning and extends the life of your equipment.
