Tips For A Streak Free Window Using Windex

Cleaning windows can sometimes be a bit of a pain due to the streaks that are commonly left behind. I am going to share with you a few tips I have learned throughout my years of cleaning that have always left me with streak free windows every time I use windex.
With Windex, always remember that a little goes a long way. Never spray more than what's needed onto the window. Usually, spraying in the 4 corners on an average sized window is more than enough windex to clean it. If the window is bigger, spray a small amount to the middle of the window.
1) Spray the window in sections, not the whole thing at once.
FOR EXAMPLE:
Spray top left corner and bottom left corner, then use squeegee. Continue in sections based on the size of your squeegee.
This will prevent the windex from drying in the spots you haven't gotten to yet with your squeegee/cloth. When the windex dries fast, it leaves streaks in those places.
2) Try not to use windex on a window that is either too hot or too cold. If the window isn't at room temperature, it will leave more streaks due to the chemical compounds in the Windex. If it is too hot or cold, spray the window as you usually would. Once you're done, then take a dry cloth and go over the window in a circular motion to make sure all the streaks out.
3) I recommend always going over any window with a completely dry cloth when you are done. It is important to make sure that you dry any window you're cleaning in a circular motion.
4) Finally, if you've tried all the above and it hasn't worked, you can use a dry piece of newspaper if you have access to some. Go over the window in a circular motion, and that will take the streaks out.
FUN FACT:
If you ever need a replacement for windex, you can add a 1/2 cup of vinegar to your spray bottle and fill it up with hot water.
